The Rev. Dr. Bill Henderson believes in marriage and believes marriages can be happy and healthy when given a good start. He and his wife Rena have been happily married for 35 years with 2 adult children. For Bill and his wife, happiness does not mean things are always storybook perfect. It simply means they are living out their commitment to constantly be learning to work together to create a positive home life that will support and encourage them to love and to be growing to be the best, most effective persons possible. Dr. Henderson has served in ministry for 40 years and as Pastor for 30, conducting many weddings through the years. Currently living in Black Mountain, NC, he serves congregations in transition, willing to address concerns that create confusion, pain, dead-ends or conflict situations. He received a BA from Furman University and the Masters of Divinity and Doctorate in Ministry from Southeastern Theological and The Southern Seminaries respectively.

Susan Marlan, Interfaith Officiant
I was ordained from The New Seminary in New York City and legally registered in 1989 to officiate marriage ceremonies throughout the United States. I have officiated thousands of religious, non-religious, traditional, same-faith, same-sex and interdenominational ceremonies for couples of all faiths and lifestyles from all over the world.
That's more than 25 years of doing what I love to do, and I know that love shines through in each ceremony I perform. Couples referred to me are in the hands of a poised, experienced professional who truly cares about their happiness and satisfaction. Each ceremony is delivered with eloquence and sincerity.
"Everyone was touched by the spoken words as well as the love present in the room"

Coupled with that is an additional twenty-five years of pastoral ministry. For Joe, family is God’s priceless gift and that makes your many choices (wedding style, officiant and the plethora of other influences that go into wedding planning), most significant. It is his desire to understand your wishes and when appropriate, help you design and carry out your dreams. Joe’s wife Corinne is a Nurse Practitioner and they have two adult children. It is his hope that he can help you build this foundational experience for a relationship which will be celebrated many, many years.
